Angel Fire is a family-oriented village located in northern New Mexico.  A resort community boasting a ski mountain, PGA-rated golf course, stables, stocked fishing lake, tennis courts, playgrounds, new country club with a fitness center & lap pool, RV park and an extensive trail system, Angel Fire is your destination for year-round  outdoor activities.

Located approximately three hours north of Albuquerque and an hour south of the Colorado border, Angel Fire is nestled in the Moreno Valley among the Southern Rockies.  Taos is only thirty miles away offering world class skiing as well as great shopping and art galleries.  As a matter of fact, Angel Fire is within an hour's drive from three additional ski areas and a cat skiing venue.  All this borders the Carson National Forest offering fabulous hiking, snowmobiling, ATVing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and mountain biking.  The nationally known South Boundary Trail starts in Angel Fire and takes you throgh the woods on a technically challenging two wheel adventure.

If you love the outdoors, it doesn't get any better than this.  Several mountain peaks surround the area including Wheeler Peak, the highest summit in New Mexico providing fantastic hiking and miuntaineering opportunities.  Whitewater rafting and kayaking are available on the Rio Grande, less than an hour away.  Fly fishing is a staple here and Eagle Nest Lake State Park has plenty of trout.  Horseback riding opportunities are prevalent and camp fire dinners are a great family activity.  When you're looking to get away from it all, Angel Fire has all the recreational diversions you need to really relax.
